BillyOh Switch Apex Tongue and Groove Summerhouse

Relax in a room filled with natural light in the beautiful Switch Apex Summerhouse. Designed with ceiling-to-floor windows that wrap around the walls, equipped with strong 11mm tongue and groove cladding and topped with a classic apex roof, this bright-yet-robust summer house is one of our personal favourites. Pressure-treated for long-lasting use.

An alternative to using a concrete base or slabs. A grid system made from recycled plastic which can be filled with gravel to create a sturdy base for your building.

Keep rainwater away from the walls with one of our guttering systems. Protect your building from harsh weather conditions and water damage with these great yet simple solutions. Single sided guttering is great for smaller buildings or upgrade to dual gutters for increased protection on larger buildings. Collect the rainwater and use it to water your garden as a cheap and more economical option.

Do you need high quality padlocks, paint, silicone and assembly kits?

The padlock is a 65mm long shackle which is a high quality security lock with brass finish. The steel hasp and staple is 169mm and is made from electro hardened galvanised steel. It is also supplied with recessed and concealed fittings.

The Silicon and Gun Set uses a silicone sealant which prevents mould and fungal growth and comes complete with a skeleton gun as standard. This product is ideal for sealing in the windows of your garden building!

This is a low cost, convenient solution, perfect if you don't already have your own tools. This kit includes: Hard point saw, Safety goggles, Paint brush, Pocket level, Claw hammer, Rigger gloves.

This unique hasp & staple type shield offers a high level of security by reducing the exposed area of a padlock to the bare minimum. Specifically designed to prevent unwanted entry being gained to sheds, garages & workshops by protecting against break-ins.

Will I need planning permission for this building?
If the building is shorter than 2.5m tall you should not require planning permission, (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or to be put in your front garden). Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before ordering from us.

What's the difference between a base and a floor?

We'd recommend any flat and level base be put in place before you start construction of any of our buildings. The material can vary so long as it creates a flat and level base, many cutomers opt for Concrete, Paving Slabs or our popular Ecobase and EzeBase options available above. The floor of the building comes with bearers which lift the building off the base and allows the flooring to have a gap between itself and the ground this helps slow down or stop any rotting that could occur if the wood is kept in standing water.

How often do I need to treat my building?

The building should be treated once fully assembled and within one month of recieveing the product. All the treatments we supply ensure the building will only need to be treated once a year, but always consult the directions on the treatment that you have purchased. Pressure treated building dont need to be treated annually but may need to be topped up in its later life.

How long does it take to assemble this building?

This building is designed & made of preassembled panels, that make assembly super simple. With a team of just 2 people and a bit of DIY knowledge you can expect to have your BillyOh building up within a day, with many smaller buildings easy to assemble in as little as 3-4 hours.

Does my shed need to go on a base?

Our buildings are designed to be built on a flat, solid, level base. Many customers opt for a concrete or paving slab base, but for an easy cost effective base option, look no further than our popular Eze Base or Ecobase options for a simple, low cost bases

Does this product come with a guarantee?

We currently offer a 10 year guarantee on all of our buildings.

How is the building delivered?

Sheds are delivered in handy preassembled panels, which can be easily fixed together to create your shed.

Can I insulate my garden building?

Our sheds and summerhouses have cavities in the walls between the framing that will fit many common insulation materials inside. Although we do not recommend insulating your building as it has not been tested on our buildings, and would void your manufacturers warranty. More information can be found in our terms and conditions.

How many people does it take to assemble this building?

For all buildings it is recomended that 2 people build together.

What tools do I need to install my building?

Our buildings have been designed to be built with common DIY tools, such as a Drill, Screwdriver, Saw and a Hammer being the key tools needed to assemble. A Ladder comes in handy for taller buildings and a Spirit Level and Tape Measure are good ways to make sure your building is level and neatly built. Many of these tools can be found in the Value Assembly Kit sold above as a quick simple way to get the tools you need.
