Our 19mm log cabins are the entry-level solution in our log cabin range. 19mm is well-suited to leisurely use in the garden — solid, interlocking timber that makes a sturdy, weatherproof building, ideal as a summerhouse, garden store or seasonal retreat for the warmer months. It stands up to the weather all year, but at this thickness it won't hold heat efficiently once the cold sets in. Stepping up to a thicker 28mm or 44mm cabin adds warmth and extends the comfortable season, but for genuine year-round use — right through the coldest months — our insulated garden rooms are the ones to choose. Every cabin comes with a 10-year guarantee, rising to 15 years with pressure treatment.

What a 19mm Log Cabin Is Best For
A 19mm cabin is our most accessible log building, and it works in two ways. As a living space — a summerhouse, garden retreat, hobby room or one-desk home office (the affordable Mia is a customer favourite for a part-time garden study) — it's at its best in the milder months. As a practical building, though, a 19mm cabin is a sturdy, weatherproof step up from an ordinary shed — ideal for heavy-duty storage, a workshop or a hobby space, where insulation is far less of a concern. Windowed or Windowless
Pick a windowed 19mm cabin if you want natural light — ideal for a summerhouse or a bright place to work — or a windowless design to keep contents private and out of sight, which suits storage and security. Many models also feature wide double doors, so it's easy to move bikes, mowers or furniture in and out.
Construction and What's Included
Our 19mm cabins are built from solid, interlocking timber logs that cross and lock together at the corners — the joint that gives a log cabin its strength and keeps wind and rain out. Everything comes pre-cut and with digital instructions, so most cabins go up in a matter of hours (maybe spread over a weekend) with two people and basic tools. Every cabin, apex or pent, includes green mineral felt for the roof as standard.
Treatment and Guarantee
Timber needs protecting from the weather, so treat your cabin with a quality wood preserver soon after assembly, and top it up as recommended, to keep it in good condition and your guarantee valid. On many 19mm cabins you can add pressure treatment as an optional upgrade — preservative is forced deep into the timber under pressure for longer-lasting protection and much less maintenance. Every cabin comes with a 10-year guarantee against rot, decay and insect attack, rising to 15 years on pressure-treated models.
