Spray Treated: Our sheds and summerhouses get a beautiful golden brown spray treatment before leaving the factory in order to preserve the quality of the wood up until the delivery. As this only lasts through the transit stage, we do advise treating the wood after installation to protect and preserve it, as well as annual maintenance.
Pressure Treated: For an extra level of protection, you can opt for a pressure treated building which is an effective way of keeping the wood long lasting. This is an extra step in the manufacturing process where the wood is treated in a pressurised tank. Chemical preservatives are forced deep into the wood’s fibres to resist rot, decay and termites. When you upgrade to Pressure Treatment, the guarantee is extended from 10 to 15 years.
11mm (roof & floor): Our Standard flooring option which provides a durable, solid foundation and underfoot to the building. The 11mm option is ideal for less demanding and frequent usage, suitable for lighter intensity purposes like summer houses and other living spaces containing light furniture. The 11mm tongue and groove timber makes this a solid yet suitable, economical option.
19mm (floor only): A premium floor is the perfect choice for higher intensity usage. The construction uses thick 19mm tongue and groove timber, which gives you not only the strength, but better insulation against the cold weather. This specific floor is the perfect option if you’re planning on using the building as an everyday use office, gym or games room with heavy objects.
All garden buildings should be assembled on a firm and level base. A base will ensure your building has a solid, long-lasting and well-drained foundation.
If you want to build your own base, from a sturdy material such as concrete or flagstones, you can find minimum dimensions for each size of this building in the tech specs. In order to protect your building from moisture, you should leave a 2ft gap around the exterior of your building, so remember to take this into consideration when laying any sort of base.
Our robust and simple to use EcoBase provides you with a firm, long-lasting foundation with suitable drainage for your garden building. It is quick and easy to install through the use of snap connectors that link the grids to each other.
If your building is shorter than 2.5m you should not require planning permission, (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or will be placed in your front garden). Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before purchasing a garden building from us.
We do not offer an installation service on any of our buildings, as they are designed to be easy and simple to assemble. Using the digital assembly instructions included in your order confirmation and with a team of at least 2 people, the handy pre assembled panels mean you will have your BillyOh building up in no time!
Our sheds and summerhouse are delivered in easy to assemble panels. For your convenience the panels are no wider than 4ft so they can be easily maneuverable and fit through a standard doorway. Glazing and any additional wood is delivered in separate, clearly labeled packages.
Your order can be tracked through the account section on our website or by contacting us directly. You will be contacted after your order via your online account, email or text to provide updates on delivery dates.
We offer a pay by finance option on any purchase over the value of £560.
Our simple finance options allow you to spread the cost of your purchase over 24, 36 or 48 months.Read more about our Pay by Finance option here.
The Ivy is one of our most traditional garden summerhouses, featuring classic tall glazed windows and an apex roof, giving you improved head height and access to natural light. The 4 tall windows around the front and sides of the building allow the light to flood in. This Wooden summerhouse also comes with a veranda with a slatted floor and slatted sidewall, this veranda gives you an amazing decorative space perfect for planters or small garden furniture seating.
The Ivy comes with a cost-effective yet durable solid sheet flooring, an 11mm tongue and groove roof and mineral felt as standard to increase your building’s weather resistance. The flooring can be upgraded to 19mm flooring for more intensive uses. Another option for the Ivy is to upgrade to pressure treatment to further protect your building and increase your BillyOh guarantee to 15 years.
Traditional wooden summer houses tend to have a classic apex roof with roof overhangs. With your Billy Ivy, we extend this overhang to create a spacious and relaxing veranda space, accessible with wide-opening double doors that offer panoramic views of your outdoor space.
Use the extra space this garden summer house provides by using it as a quiet retreat, a garden studio, or even a sun room. In the winter, it can even be converted into a storage space. There's no end to the possibilities for your BillyOh garden building!
A tongue and groove apex summerhouse offers quality weather protection thanks to the interlocking construction of the timber panels. And, with optional cladding thickness for the t&g floor, you can ensure even more comprehensive protection with this cladding Style. Durable tongue & groove panels also create a tight seal, preventing water ingress. Green mineral roof felt is included as standard on our summerhouse kits.
Pressure treated timber will offer a longer-lasting level of protection than dip treatments. If opting for the latter, we suggest treating your Ivy annually, starting with application on the wood after installation. Doing this will keep your contemporary summerhouse looking great for years to come.
We're so confident in the dependable quality of our BillyOh quality summer houses that they come with a 10-year guarantee against rot, decay, and insect infestation. Pressure treated models have an increased guarantee of 15 years. The Ivy also features toughened safety glass for a strong build and protected extra living space.
Your Ivy garden summer house will be provided with comprehensive assembly instructions upon order. Using some basic tools and a helping pairs of hands, simply put together the pre-assembled panels on a level base. You'll be enjoying a glass of wine in your garden summerhouse in no time!
Your BillyOh Ivy shouldn't require planning permission as:
Although, you should still check with your local council as planning permission rules may vary.
