BillyOh Devon Log Cabin
The Devon suits any garden space, giving you a great place to relax in the comfort of your own garden. The glazed double doors and opening window provide natural light and fresh air, while the wide range of customizable options gives you full control.
In our 4m x 3m log cabin range, our BillyOh Devon model starts at just £3,759 for a reverse apex model with full-length double doors as well as flooring, roofing, felt, fixtures, and fittings included as standard.
As long as you’re not planning to use your garden log cabin as a permanent residence then it should fall under ‘permitted development’, meaning that you shouldn’t require planning permission. This is also on the basis that your log cabin is:
- Not built further forward than the front wall of your house.
- Single storey.
- Built with a max eaves height no greater than 2.5m (with an overall height of 4m for a dual-pitched roof).
- Not larger than 50% of your garden.
These rules may vary depending on where you live, however, and it’s always wise to check with your local council first. For more information, check out our quick guide to planning permission.
Our BillyOh log cabins come delivered as pre-cut tongue and groove panels ready for you to assemble. Simply follow the instructions provided with your order and you (and a friend with some basic tools) can have your log cabin up in no time!
Depending on what you intend to use your log cabin for, where you live, and the cladding thickness you opted for; insulating your log cabin may not be necessary. However, to find out more about how to do so properly and cheaply, check out this guide.
With a log cabin that is made of thick enough tongue and groove cladding and is sufficiently insulated, you could well live in it year-round - even in the harshest of UK weather. However, intending to do so may affect whether or not you need planning permission. For more, read this post.
